Thanksgiving Tradition Continues: MSP Lends a Hand Delivering Meals

In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, Michigan State Police (MSP) troopers and members of the 136th Trooper Recruit School made sure Michigan families had meals to enjoy for the holiday.

Troopers from the Lansing, Jackson, Monroe, Brighton, Metro North, Metro South, Flint, Lapeer and Tri-City posts delivered 200 Thanksgiving dinners, which were donated by Kroger. This is the fourth year Kroger has provided the food. MSP Community Service Troopers (CSTs) identified households through collaboration with local schools and community organizations.

The Lansing Area Veterans Coalition headed up distribution to veterans from Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties, which was held at the MSP Training Academy.
