Belle Isle is a great place for birding any time of the year! For our January and April programs, we'll focus on migrant waterfowl on the waters of the Detroit River, inland canals and lagoons throughout the island. We'll meet on the west end of the island, just west of the MacArthur Bridge, then caravan to different locations according to where the birds are!
Dress for the weather, as it can be quite cold and windy near the river during the colder months. Staff will provide a spotting scope to share among guests, and a limited number of binoculars will be available for loan.
This is a free outdoor program that take place offsite at Belle Isle Park. Preregistration required.
