Dr. Travis selected to lead Aging and Adult Services

On May 24, it was announced that Alexis Travis, Ph.D, will serve as the new senior deputy director of the Aging and Adult Services Agency, under the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Dr. Travis comes to the agency from the Bureau of Health and Wellness within the Population Health Administration in the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and she previously served as chief of community health for the Worcester Department of Health and Human Services in Massachusetts.
She holds a doctorate in public health from Walden University in Minnesota, a master’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom and she participated in the Socrates/Erasmus Student Exchange Program at the University of Salamanca in Spain.
