New Collective Bargaining Agreements Approved

  On December 12, 2018 the Civil Service Commission approved new agreements for employees represented by the UAW, MCO, SEIU 517M S&E Unit, HSS Unit and Technical Unit, MSEA and AFSCME Council 25. Non-economic provisions of the agreements took effect January 1, 2019 and will expire December 31, 2021.

Wage and group insurance provisions are effective in October 2019 through September 30, 2020. Effective October 1, 2019, eligible employees covered by these agreements receive a 2% base wage increase, and a 2% one-time lump sum payment. There will be no plan design changes for the State Health Plan PPO, the Dental Plan or the Vision Plan for FY20.

No later than May 1, 2019 either party may request to open negotiations for wages and group insurances for FY21 and FY22.
