Action required: 2020-21 Independent Contractor/Third-Party Employee Audit

The Michigan Office of Retirement Services is conducting an audit of independent contractors and third-party employees for the fiscal year 2020-2021. Your response is required by Aug. 5, 2022.

Please log in to your File Transfer Service (FTS) mailbox within seven business days to download the file sent by ORS. If you reported any Michigan Public Schools Employees’ Retirement System (MPSERS) retirees on the Registry of Educational Personnel (REP) file for fiscal year 2020-2021, your file will be pre-populated with these retirees.

Your instructions and certification form are attached to this email. Please read them carefully before completing your response.

If you report for more than one reporting unit, please ensure that we receive a response for each of your reporting units.
