Sometimes the best place to find the skill training you want may not be a community college. There may be a private training school or program that offers exactly what you’re looking for or is more convenient.
The Michigan Skills Scholarship program is an opportunity to apply for up to a $1,500 state scholarship to help cover part of the tuition cost at a private training school or program if you are 25 years or older.

If you have already applied for a Michigan Skills Scholarship and have been accepted, the next step is to find the training program you’d like to apply for using the link you will receive with your Skills Scholarship acceptance. The number of scholarships is limited, so it is first come, first served.

To be listed on Michigan Training Connect, you are legally required to be licensed as a proprietary school by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), Corporations, Securities & Commercial Licensing Bureau (CSCL), Licensing Division.
