For the seventh year MET will assist the youth of the Ingham County Michigan Youth Opportunities Initiative

(MYOI) program with the "The Pillow Effect."  MYOI youth believe every child deserves to have a comfortable place to lay their head at night and a new pillow and pillowcase would be a very comforting way to transition a youth into an unfamiliar situation. Ingham County MYOI is collaborating with the Michigan Education Trust to collect 300 new standard size pillows and pillow cases, on August 9th, to assist in providing a safe and secure place for future foster care youth. MYOI youth will decorate the pillowcases with positive phrases such as "Be Strong" and "You are Amazing." Each pillowcase will then be stuffed with a brand new pillow and provided to Ingham County youth at the time they enter foster care. If you would like to help, please bring a new standard size pillow or pillowcase to the pizza party.
