SET with MET
Help make the dream of a college education a reality. Join us for the ninth annual Pizza Party on the Capitol Lawn, August 8 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.. Your $5 donation gets you a slice of pizza, drink and cookie, while also supporting the Fostering Futures Scholarship Trust Fund. Scholarships are awarded annually to former foster youth enrolled in Michigan colleges and universities. Thanks to your participation, the pizza party events have raised nearly $35,000.
To help estimate the amount of pizza needed, please pre-register to attend the event. You may register and pre-pay online or register and pay the day of the event.
Again this year, "The Pillow Effect," a Michigan Youth Opportunities Initiative (MYOI) program will accept donations of new standard pillows and pillowcases (or cash donations to purchase items) for distribution to youth entering foster care.
We were not able to host any of our traditional fundraisers in 2020, so donations made prior to the 2021 Pizza Party are appreciated. The need for scholarship funds has not diminished in the past year. Please consider making a donation and help youth who have experienced foster care realize their dream of a college education. Your donation, big or small, will make a difference.
Donate and register online using a credit card or to make a donation by check, complete and submit the Fostering Futures Scholarship Contribution Form along with a check made payable to the State of Michigan - Fostering Futures Scholarship.
Contributions made by December 31 are eligible for a tax deduction on your federal and state income tax form in the year they are made.
As an IRC Section 170(c) organization all donations to MET's Fostering Futures Scholarship Trust Fund are tax deductible.
