Porcupine Mountains - Music Festival
Porcupine Mountains - Music Festival
Porcupine Mountains Music Festival returns for its 17th year
The Porcupine Mountains Music Festival, presented by the Friends of the Porkies, will be held Aug. 25 & 26, 2023. This activity is supported in part by an award from the Michigan Arts & Culture Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The festival made state history in 2005 as the first music festival held in a Michigan state park. Performers bring to the Porkies’ stage a diverse selection of musical styles: blues, country, bluegrass, rock, folk and more. The outdoor Peace Hill Stage will host 6 national performing artists daily, and the festival also includes the all-acoustic “Busking Barn” stage, a calm oasis with a magic all its own — including a daily open-jam session, and the indoor Chalet Stage, featuring performances and artist workshops. The colorful “Kid’s Tent” located on the festival grounds is always bustling with crafts and activities for the young audience members.
