Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Andrew Adair of Ferndale to the Michigan Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.

Housed within the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the 11-member board advises the department on issues affecting prescription drug coverage for its various health care programs.

"I thank Andrew for his commitment to this committee and the Michiganders it serves,” Snyder said.

Adair is a physician at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital where he is chair of the Family Medicine Service Line. He serves on the board of the Macomb County Osteopathic Medical Association and the Michigan Osteopathic Association, and is active on several committees for the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Adair holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Bellarmine College and a doctor of osteopathy from Des Moines University. He will represent physicians and replace Steven Hadesman.

Adair will serve the remainder of a two-year term expiring Oct. 1, 2019.
