Find information about college scholarships, grants, student loans?
There are a number of both state and federally funded financial aid programs to help Michigan students obtain their postsecondary degrees.
Financial aid is divided into three basic types:
- Scholarships and Grants
Scholarships and grants are based on a student's financial need.
- Self-help Financial Aid (Student Loans)
Self Help Financial Aid includes financial aid which students earn or payback such as federal and private student loans as well as federal and state work-study programs.
- Specialty Program Financial Aid
- College Savings Plans
If started early enough, college savings programs can be a tremendous help by either locking in tomorrow's tuition rates at today's prices or by building tax-free savings to be used later for college expenses.
