ESTIMATED END DATE:
Friday, Oct. 5, 2018
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be investing $1.5 million to repave nearly 1 mile of US-12 in the village of Edwardsburg. Construction includes road resurfacing, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk ramp reconstruction, drainage and sign upgrades, pavement markings, and railroad crossing upgrades from the west village limit of Edwardsburg to M-62.
For project information and a map, visit Mi Drive.
The new road surface, sidewalk ramps and railroad crossing will extend the life of road, improve the ride quality for motorists, and improve safety and access for pedestrians and motorists.
There will be single-lane closures on US-12 with traffic maintained by a flagging operation. During railroad crossing reconstruction in mid-August, US-12 will be closed and a detour posted on Conrad Road, May Street, and M-62.
