State parks have a history of offering quality education programs for a wide range of recreational opportunities. During our centennial celebration we want 100 future hunters to join Harrisville State Park for their 13th Annual Hunters Education Weekend! This class is a great opportunity for individuals to earn their Hunters Education and International Bow Education Program (IBEP) certificates. This course offers both classroom and hands-on safety on various hunting techniques with several knowledgeable instructors. Since the beginning of this program, more than 900 people have been certified in both programs. Students age 10 or under require a parent or adult guardian to be in attendance with them. For the Sunday field day, be sure to dress for the weather. Participants should not wear open-toed shoes and should not bring their own hunting equipment. Please make sure to call the park prior to the event as pre-registration is required. Registration will be accepted until noon on Sept. 13, 2019.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit www.midnrreservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
