Masked Volunteers pose for a photo with bags filled with invasive Garlic Mustard

Meet at the Gillette Visitor Center. Meeting location: 43.121436, -86.265354

We need your help to eradicate garlic mustard, an invasive plant that disrupts the ecosystem in the beautiful forested dunes.  Be sure to arrive on time and wear sturdy shoes as we'll be walking a mile to the work site! Long sleeve shirts, long pants and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. Please note registration is required and space may be limited to comply with social distancing guidelines. Register by emailing Emily Leslie at LeslieE1@michigan.gov

For more information on the program, visit the Volunteer Stewardship webpage. For more information about invasive species, visit Michigan.gov/Invasives.

Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit MIDNRReservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.

Stay in the know! Sign up for the parks you're interested in volunteering, and you will be notified about upcoming volunteer stewardship events.
