All persons engaged in the manufacture, importation, possession, transportation, and sale of alcohol must obtain a license from the MLCC. Licenses are issued by the MLCC in accordance with the requirements of the Liquor Control Code of 1998 and MLCC administrative rules.
A County Owned Airport License is an on premises license that may only be issued at an airport in which the property is owned by a county or in which a county has an interest. These types of on premises licenses are not subject to the limitations and quotas of 1 public license for each 1,500 of population or major fraction in each city, village, and township (local governmental unit) in Michigan.
