Afghanistan Conflict Veteran

Afghanistan Pure MI Plate

Michigan is proud to recognize its men and women who served in the U.S. military during Operation Enduring Freedom's Afghanistan Conflict (which began Oct. 7, 2001) with the Afghanistan Conflict Veteran plate.

The Afghanistan Conflict Veteran plate is available to all Afghanistan veterans and their spouses in either the standard design (shown on this page) or the Spectacular Peninsulas design.

The fee for the standard design is $5. The Spectacular Peninsulas design is $10. If you are purchasing an original plate or replacing an existing plate when renewing, other registration fees may apply. You may also personalize your veteran plate for an additional fee.

Veteran plates can only be used on passenger cars, pickup trucks, vans and motor homes. Motorcycles, trailers and vehicles used commercially are not eligible.

Veterans and their spouses interested in obtaining an Afghanistan Conflict Veteran plate may apply at their local Secretary of State office or by mailing in a completed Application for Veteran License Plate.

Note:  Veterans who earned the Afghanistan campaign medal are eligible for the Afghanistan Campaign Medal Veteran Plate.
