Michigan began issuing specialty license plates in April 2001 to raise money for several state-supported causes. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the reintroduction of elk into Michigan, this wildlife habitat plate highlights the need to protect Michigan's non-game wildlife and habitat.
Fundraising plates can only be used on passenger cars, pickup trucks, vans, and motor homes. Motorcycles and trailers are not eligible for these plates.
You can order the fundraising license plates online, by mail, or at any Secretary of State branch office. The plate will be mailed to you within 14 business days from the date the plate is ordered.
To purchase a plate by mail, complete and print the Wildlife Habitat License Plate Order Form.
