LANSING, Mich. – Secretary of State Ruth Johnson today announced that the Mobile Office will be in Novi on June 1-3 as part of the Michigan Motorcycle Mecca.
The office will be at the Suburban Collection Showplace, 46100 Grand River, during the first-ever Motorcycle Mecca, an exhibition expected to draw thousands of people to see hundreds of custom bikes from all popular motorcycle classes. Hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on June 1, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on June 2, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 3.
"Show-goers are invited to stop by the Secretary of State booth to take care of any business they may have with us," Johnson said. "Staff will also have information about earning a motorcycle endorsement, using our ExpressSOS.com online services, and other programs and services."
The Mobile Office is made up of four, easy-to-use carts that are rolled out of a 14-foot-by-7-foot trailer and then assembled as a customer service counter with all the necessary equipment and data connections.
Customers of the Mobile Office have the ability to pay with a MasterCard or Discover card as well as buy instant titles or a copy of their driving record. The Mobile Office offers all the services available at a traditional branch office.
People renewing license plates, driver's licenses and ID cards can do business by mail or online at www.ExpressSOS.com. Easy to follow instructions can be found with the renewal notice. Additional services can be done online as well.
