Secretary of State online services offer tab renewals, other services
SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. – Secretary of State Ruth Johnson announced today that her office will have a booth Saturday and Sunday at the National Blueberry Festival in South Haven. The festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
"While you're tasting the best in blueberry products and enjoying the lakeside scenery, stop by our table to check out or use our online services at ExpressSOS.com," Johnson said. "Our online, no-wait Secretary of State allows you to renew license plate tabs, sign up as an organ donor, get duplicate titles, change your address and much more. It's fast and easy, and now you can take care of business while you enjoy the festival."
The ExpressSOS.com popup tent, which will offer secure online services, will be located in Stanley Johnston Park near the garden area, alongside the 28th annual Blueberry Festival Craft Fair. More than three million transactions have been successfully handled through ExpressSOS.com since its October 2011 launch.
"This year we're excited to welcome the Michigan Secretary of State's Office to the park," said Susan Diepen, assistant director of the South Haven Area Chamber of Commerce. "The craft fair draws about 15,000 people into the park every year, so this is a great opportunity for the Secretary of State's office to reach many people in the community to let them know about the online services available."
