Mohawk SOS office to be open on Nov. 27 due to holiday closure

The Secretary of State office in Mohawk, which is now only open on Thursdays, will offer hours on Wednesday, Nov. 27 due to its closure for the Thanksgiving holiday the next day, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson said today.

The office at 3616 U.S. Highway 41 will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a lunch closure from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Normal Thursday service will resume on Dec. 6.
The Mohawk office opened in January 1999 and is the first full-service Secretary of State office in Keweenaw County.

Customers renewing driver's licenses, state IDs or license plate tabs also can do business by mail, or if eligible, online at www.ExpressSOS.com. Easy to follow instructions are on the renewal notice. License plate tabs will arrive by mail within seven business days.
