Renew license plate tabs and driver’s licenses at Mobile Office

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Visitors to the 2016 Michigan International Auto Show at DeVos Place will have the opportunity to renew their driver’s license and license plate tabs, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson announced today.

“Our Mobile Office offers the services of a traditional brick and mortar office, which means anything you need to do at the Secretary of State’s Office can be handled quickly and easily here,” Johnson said. “You can enjoy the Michigan International Auto Show and take care of SOS business at the same time. Please stop by!”

The Michigan International Auto Show, 303 Monroe Ave. N.W. in Grand Rapids, begins Thursday, Jan. 28 and runs through Jan. 31. The show, presented by the Grand Rapids New Car Dealers Association, features new sedans, trucks, SUVs, hybrids and sports cars from more than 32 manufacturers.

“Our lives have become filled with many necessary and also helpful conveniences,” said event spokesperson Dawn Baker. “The Michigan International Auto Show appreciates that, and through the Secretary of State Mobile Office, convenience is offered to attendees. The information available, questions that can be clarified, and conveniences of taking care of renewals right there at the 18th Annual Show at DeVos Place, make life and taking care of business that much easier!”

Customers visiting the full-service Secretary of State booth, located near the Ford display, will also be able to change their address, update their voter registration, sign up on the Michigan Organ Donor Registry or order a replacement vehicle title. The Mobile Office hours are:
