Customers urged to do business online or at alternative offices

COLDWATER, Mich. – Secretary of State Ruth Johnson announced today that the Coldwater office, 7 Vans Ave., will be closed for a remodeling project from March 21-25 that will bring new customer-friendly improvements as part of her commitment to better serving Branch County customers.

Customers and staff will benefit from renovations that include more lobby space, a new customer-friendly counter design and new carpet. The office is expected to reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 28.

“The features that this remodeling project will bring are part of our commitment to continuously improving and providing convenient customer service while being efficient with taxpayer dollars,” Johnson said. “Area residents now can do many transactions with us online at ExpressSOS.com but when they do visit, they can enjoy the benefits of an updated Coldwater office.”

ExpressSOS.com offers a convenient alternative for renewing license plates, driver’s licenses and state ID cards. Online license plate renewal allows customers to “print-n-go” by printing a copy of their new registration to use until their tabs arrive in the mail. Easy-to-follow instructions can be found with the renewal notice. Additional services can be done online as well.
