Full service office includes driver’s licenses, IDs, tabs
Secretary of State Ruth Johnson announced today that her Mobile Office will be open for business during the Brightmoor Block Party Resource and Employment Fair in Detroit on Thursday, June 22. The event is being held at Mission: City, 20405 Schoolcraft, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is put on by Southwest Economic Solutions and City Covenant Church.
“Anytime we can go directly into a community to offer our services, we’re happy to do so,” Johnson said. “Stop by to renew your driver’s license or identification card, register to vote or renew your license plate tabs. You can do all of these transactions and more at the Mobile Office.”
The Mobile Office provides most services of a traditional office, including title transfers, address changes and much more. The Mobile Office will join organizations offering access to job training, homeownership down payment assistance, free health screenings and more. Participants include the American Red Cross, DTE Energy, Covenant House and Comcast, among others.
