How can voters ensure their registration is up to date before the General Election without an appointment to change their address at a Secretary of State branch office?
After Oct. 19, 2020 voters seeking to update their address on their voter registration must provide identification and one document (paper or electronic copy) with their name and new address to update their address on their voter registration in person at their city or township clerk’s office.
Voters who previously updated their voter registration online at Michigan.gov/Vote
or changed their address through the Michigan Department of State’s online services will automatically receive either a correction of address sticker for their standard driver’s license or state ID or a corrected enhanced driver’s license or state ID card by mail.
