What should I do to prepare for my branch office appointment when offices reopen?

Customers feeling unwell should cancel their appointment and stay home if they are exhibiting signs of illness. Those with appointments should come alone, without companions, unless necessary to complete their transaction. Pursuant to Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-153, customers are required to wear a proper face covering in order to complete their transaction in the branch office. Furthermore, we advise that customers visiting our branch offices clean their hands thoroughly before and after their branch office visit. With this in mind, customers are cautioned that public restrooms won’t be available to the public when offices reopen.

To ensure your branch office appointment goes smoothly and quickly, we ask that all customers plan ahead by ensuring they have all of the documents required to complete their transaction before their visit. More information on required documents may be found on our website, Michigan.gov/SOS
