How are reinstatement hearings and driver reexamination appointments being conducted during the pandemic?

All Michigan Department of State driver license appeal hearings will be held remotely via Microsoft Teams. Those who are eligible for an appeal hearing will receive notice indicating the hearing will be held via Microsoft Teams or will be contacted by a staff member indicating the hearing will be held via Microsoft Teams. Certain services for driver license appeal hearings can still be accessed online through the Driver Appeal Integrated System (DAIS).

Driver Assessment reexaminations are still being held on-site at select branch offices. Drivers scheduled to appear for reexamination must appear at the branch office listed on the Notice of Driver Assessment Reexamination at the assigned date and time.
