Can customers schedule an appointment to renew a commercial driver's license (CDL), certification, or medical endorsements?

Commercial drivers who must renew their CDL, certification, or commercial plate (GVW) are advised to make an appointment to renew their credential(s) at a Secretary of State branch.

Additionally, the federal government has extended the deadline for submitting medical certificates expiring on or after Dec. 1, 2020, to May 31, 2021.

The waiver doesn't apply to CDL drivers whose medical certificates expired between March 1, and Nov. 30, 2020. Those who have not yet done so risk having their privileges downgraded and will be unable to drive for commercial purposes.
