Voters can access voting information at Michigan.gov/Vote
Polling places are open until 8 p.m. for voters who wish to cast their ballot in person in the jurisdictions across the state holding an election today.
Voters can check if there is an election in their community by visiting Michigan.gov/Vote. They can also track their absentee ballot, find their drop box and clerk office locations, and view sample ballots on the site.
"Today, Michigan voters in nearly 200 jurisdictions have several options to ensure their voices are heard in their local elections," said Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. "If they already have an absentee ballot, they can return it to their local clerk's office or local drop box by 8 p.m., and if they don't have their ballot, they can get one and vote in person at their local polling place. And even if citizens aren't registered, they can still vote today by registering and voting in one visit to their local clerk's office. The freedom to vote is what makes our communities, our state, and our nation strong, and I encourage all eligible citizens to exercise that freedom today."
Clerk offices are open until 8 p.m. for those who need to register to vote, or absentee voters who wish to return their ballot in person. Those who are already in possession of their absentee ballot should fill them out at home, sign the back of the envelope and return it to their local city or township clerk's office or drop box by 8 p.m. Voters may also allow an immediate family member or a member of their household to drop off their sealed and signed ballot for them.
Voters who are already registered and did not request an absentee ballot by 4 p.m. on Monday must vote in person at their polling location. Those voting in person will find that COVID-19 prevention safeguards - including social distancing and the use of personal protection equipment by election workers - remain in place.
