Secretary of State
Michigan is proud to recognize its men and women who served in the U.S. military during the invasion of the Dominican Republic. Residents who served during the time of April 28, 1965, through Sept. 21, 1966, and their spouses are eligible for a Dominican Republic Conflict Veteran plate.
The plate is available in the standard design. The fee is $5. If you are purchasing an original plate or replacing an existing plate when renewing, other registration fees may apply. You may also personalize your plate for an additional fee.
Veteran plates can only be used on passenger cars, pickup trucks, vans and motor homes. Motorcycles, trailers and vehicles used commercially are not eligible.
Veterans and their spouses interested in obtaining a Dominican Republic Conflict Veteran plate may apply at their local Secretary of State office by submitting a completed Application for Veteran License Plates.
