What happens if the Michigan Department of Treasury determines that my offer is too low?
If Treasury determines you can pay more than the offered amount, but less than the total liability, Treasury will send an addendum letter proposing a new offer amount. If Treasury determines you can pay the total liability in full then the offer in compromise will be rejected.
