Will I have to make payments on my current installment agreement while my offer is being considered?

Once Treasury notifies you of receipt of your Offer in Compromise submission by sending you an acknowledgement letter, installment agreements are not required while the offer is pending review. Assessments that are included in the offer in compromise are not subject to collection activity. Please contact the phone number on the last correspondence received for the account to discuss your assessment information.

Note: Penalty and interest will continue to accrue while your offer in compromise is pending review.
