If I am still receiving unemployment in 2021, should I be making estimated payments for tax year 2021?
If you elect to have state tax withheld from your unemployment income, then no estimated tax payments are required. However, if your annual tax liability after deduction of any withholding or available credits is expected to be greater than $500 for tax year 2021, then estimated tax payments are required.
