Treasury employees honor a taxpayer's right to confidentiality. Except where required by law, taxpayers must authorize the disclosure of tax information to any third party before it can be released. To authorize, use the Authorized Representative Declaration (Power of Attorney) (Form 151), available on Treasury's Web site.
