Michigan Commission of Agriculture and Rural Development

The Michigan Commission of Agriculture and Rural Development is a bipartisan group of citizens appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the State Senate to serve four-year, staggered terms. The role of the Commission is to provide oversight and executive direction for the programs of the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and to approve the rules and regulations the department promulgates.
The Commission on Agriculture and Rural Development consists of 5 members, not more of 3 of whom shall be members of the same political party.
