Michigan Opioids Task Force

The Michigan Opioids Task Force was created as an advisory body within the Department of Health and Human Services and consists of 12 members of the executive branch of state government. Members of the Task Force are ex officio members and serve at the pleasure of the governor. The director of the Department shall designate the chairperson of the Task Force.

Robert Gordon, Director of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, or the director’s designee from within the Department

Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, Chief Medical Executive of the State of Michigan.

Orlene Hawks, Director of the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, or the director’s designee from within that department

Joe Gasper, Director of the Michigan State Police, or the director’s designee from within that department

Heidi Washington, Director of the Department of Corrections, or the director’s designee from within that department
