The Advisory Council on Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing consists of 13 member citizens. A minimum of seven members of the council should be deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing. The members are appointed by the Governor and serve for a term of three years. The council serves to advise the Department of Civil Rights on matters pertaining to deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing persons.
