Grape and Wine Industry Council

The Grape and Wine Industry Council was created within the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to provide for research on wine grapes and wines, including, but not limited to , methods of planting, growing, controlling insects and diseases, charting microclimates and locations to growing desirable varieties of wine grapes, marketing, processing, distribution, advertising, sales, production, and product development.
 
Statute
The Grape and Wine Industry Council was replaced by the Michigan Craft Beverage Council pursuant to Public Act 154 of 2018.
