MEDC Executive Committee

The overall management and control of the MEDC rests with an Executive Committee consisting of twenty members, appointed by the Governor of the State of Michigan. The Executive Committee appoints the Chief Executive Officer, who administers all programs, funds, personnel, and all other administrative transactions of the MEDC.  In addition to the Executive Committee, the MEDC has a Corporation Board of participants. Executive Committee meetings are open to the public and are held at the MEDC’s Lansing Office or at other Michigan sites.  As a public body, the MEDC Executive Committee is subject to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), as well as the Open Meetings Act (OMA). 
 
The goal of the MEDC Executive Committee is to ensure MEDC performs and is recognized as one of the top ten state economic development organizations in the nation. The MEDC Executive Committee will support the MEDC through governance, support to enable results-based action, and advocacy for the organization and economic development in Michigan.
 
The MEDC Executive Committee consists of 20 members appointed by the Governor. Appointments made prior to May 1, 2019 are for 8-year terms and appointments made after April 30, 2019 will be for 4-year terms.
