Michigan Board of Accountancy
The Michigan Board of Accountancy is responsible for the certification, licensure, and regulation of certified public accountants and public accounting firms under Article 7 of Public Act 299 of 1980, as amended.
The Michigan Board of Accountancy consists of 9 members, one of the 9 members is a full time instructor of accounting above the elementary level at an accredited college or university, 6 of the members are licensed certified public accountants, and 3 of the members represent the public, one of which is an attorney. The appointments to this board are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
