Michigan Board of Speech Language Pathology

 Public Act 524 of 2008 was officially recognized by the Secretary of State's office on January 13, 2009. This amends the Public Health Code to provide for the licensure of speech-language pathologists. This bill was effective on January 13, 2009.

The Board of Speech-Language Pathology consists of 11 members: 6 speech-language pathologists, 2 physicians licensed to practice in Michigan (one of whom is a board-certified Otolaryngologist) and 3 public members. Each board member serves 4-year terms and are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
