The Early Roster collection will be available to update student
rosters. These updates will be used for Direct Certification reporting.
Please note: MSDS no longer accepts fixed-length text files for upload.
All uploaded files must be in the specified XML format.
Direct Certification Implications
Students reported via the Early Roster collection, along with the students
reported as "continuing" in the end-of-year Single Record Student Database (EOY
SRSD) collection, will be used in the creation of the Direct Certification
report. To enhance system performance, it is recommended that students included
in a district's EOY SRSD collection as "continuing" (District Exit Status "19")
who will not have a change in building assignment for the 2009-10 school year,
NOT be included in the Early Roster collection. CEPI recommends that district
authorized users submit only newly enrolled students and those students who have
a change in building assignment through Early Roster.
The Early Roster collection will remain open until October 21, 2009. |
