Petroleum Site Eligibility Determinations for EPA Grantees

Old Pine River Road gas station Recipients of EPA Petroleum Site Assessment grants need to request determinations of eligibility from the DEQ regarding low-priority petroleum contaminated or suspected sites. Petroleum sites include former gas stations, dry cleaners, or other commercial or industrial property that stored or utilized petroleum products in above or underground storage tanks. Residential and agricultural properties which contained storage tanks or oil and gas wells are not eligible.  Please see the attached document for the type of information that is required to make a determination.  Requests should be made via email to: Ronald Smedley at smedleyr@michigan.gov  or by mail at: Department Environmental Quality, Remediation Division, P.O.
