STARBASE Curriculum

STARBASE

 

Each day at STARBASE starts at 9:00 AM and finishes at 2:00 PM. During the school year, students attend one day each week for five weeks. The summer program runs five consecutive days. The core subject areas STARBASE students investigate include:

 

 A student learns about pilot life support by trying on the G-suit.
  • Newton's Laws of Motion Team-building the STARBASE way
  • Four Forces of Flight

  • Bernoulli's Principle

  • Model Rocketry

  • Aircraft Control Surfaces and Components

  • Properties of Air

  • Development, Innovation, and Use of Technology

  • Properties and States of Matter

  • Flight Simulation

  • Space Exploration

  • Goal Setting

  • Teamwork

  • Avoiding Substance Abuse
