• Qualifications and Requirements for Individuals Seeking Pesticide Application Registration or Certification Credentials

• How to Obtain a Pesticide Applicator Certification/Registration Application
Pesticide Applicator certification/registration application is intended for use by: 1. Individuals who apply a pesticide in the course of his or her employment or other business activity, 2. Individuals or their employees who apply restricted use pesticides for the purpose of producing any agricultural commodity.

• Commercial Pesticide Application Certification Categories
Commercial applicators who apply for certification or register technician status must designate the type of pesticide application(s) they will make on the appropriate MDARD application form.

• Examination Process and Examination Schedule
Certified Pesticide Applicator and Registered Technician exams are offered by the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD) at various locations throughout the state by appointment. Schedule online at Michigan.gov/pestexam
