The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) has summarily suspended the registered nurse license of Lisa Katherine Evans due to her January 20, 2004, felony conviction of Controlled Substance - Obtaining by Fraud in the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.

Evans failed to report her conviction to MDCH as required by the Public Health Code. On June 22, 2004, MDCH issued an order immediately suspending Evans’ nursing license pursuant to the Public Health Code, which provides for the mandatory summary suspension of a health professional’s license upon the conviction of a felony. An administrative hearing will be scheduled to address the status of Evans’ registered nurse license.
