What are the costs
The Healthy Michigan Plan has co-pays. After you are enrolled in a health plan, most co-pays will be paid through a special health care account called the MI Health Account. The monthly amount you pay will be evaluated and determined based on the services you receive in the first 6 months.
The Healthy Michigan Plan also requires those with annual incomes between 100% and 133% of the federal poverty level to contribute 2% of annual income for cost sharing purposes. You will get more information about your MI Health Account, co-pays and contributions from your health plan.
Annual contributions and co-pays can be reduced by maintaining or addressing healthy behaviors, and co-pays will not be required for certain services that help you get or stay healthy, like preventive services and services that help you manage a chronic condition.
