|As required by Civil Service Commission Rule 6-9, I have established the following timetable for primary negotiations and impasse resolution:
|1. Friday, September 20, 2013
||Deadline for parties to request impasse panel assistance if no voluntary agreement is reached.
|2. Monday, October 21, 2013
||Deadline for the parties to submit to the impasse panel documentation required in Rule 6-9.4(a)(2).
|3. Monday, October 28, 2013 to Friday, November 15, 2013
||Period for impasse panel hearings.
|4. Wednesday, November 27, 2013
||Deadline for the impasse panel to submit any recommendations to the Civil Service Commission.
|5. Wednesday, December 18, 2013
||Date of meeting at which the Commission will review and act on any impasse panel recommendations.
To reduce administrative burdens for the parties, an electronic filing option will be offered to the parties. A party may continue under the previous system with multiple paper and electronic copies in clean and legislative formats. Alternatively, a party may elect to submit all proposals electronically in track-changes format in a single Microsoft Word document. If electronic filing is selected, physical copies will only be required for hearing exhibits. Please contact John Gnodtke at (517) 373-2611 with any questions on electronic filing.
