Since June 2000, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) has served as the Contract Administrator for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) project-based Section 8 portfolio in Michigan.

Effective February 1, 2007, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) became responsible for all resident inquiries for Performanced Based Contract Administration (PBCA) properties.

• Partners
The Office of Asset Management's Federal Contracts section partners with Michigan Multi-Family Asset Managers (MMAM) and EPS Inc.

• Exigent Health and Safety (EH&S)
The PBCA administers approximately 33,000 units with families that live in rental housing owned, insured or subsidized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
