Since June 2000, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) has served as the Contract Administrator for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) project-based Section 8 portfolio in Michigan.

Effective October 1, 2011, the Michigan Multi-Family Asset Managers (MMAM) will be responsible for resident inquiries for HUD's project based Section 8 portfolio under the Performanced Based Contract Administration program.
