How to Contact the Employee Service Program

For more information about ESP services, or to schedule an in person or telephone appointment with an ESP counselor, you may contact either the Lansing or the Detroit office. All contact and participation with the Employee Service Program is confidential and voluntary. Offices are open 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday except for state holidays. All ESP services are free of charge.

Hearing- and/or speech-impaired employees may contact the Michigan Relay Service for assistance by calling 1-800-649-3777. A communications assistant will translate information from Telecommunication Devices (TDD) and personal computers into voice and vice versa.

Urgent Situations

For urgent mental health situations 24 hours 7 days a week, employees covered by the State Health Plan PPO may contact Magellan of Michigan at 1-866-503-3158. Employees who belong to an HMO may contact their HMO by calling the telephone number located on the back of their HMO insurance card.

Emergencies

In the event of a life-threatening emergency you should go immediately to the nearest emergency room. Your local police can be contacted at 911 for assistance if needed.
